Food Photography Workshops
Are you a food blogger, a chef or just looking to be better at studio photography? Maybe you are struggling to make the images turn out the way you want or can’t get the flash equipment to make your images look it’s best?
You have come to the right place – We are here to help you!
Photographer Charlie Bennet LLC is offering workshops in food photography for groups and individuals. The workshops are set up differently depending on the which workshop you choose to attend but they generally cover important aspects of food photography such as equipment, storytelling, art direction, food- and propstyling, shooting techniques, the art of artificial lighting/continuous lighting and existing light as well as post work and marketing.
We conduct workshops all over the world on request. We have a state-of-the-art food phtography studio of 3,700 sqf in the Manhattan, New York.
The Group Workshop is usually held together with a food stylist, on occasion a fellow food photographer and sometimes even additional guest speakers. The groups are never more then 10 people and typically range over 1-2 days. The group workshop will give you an extensive understanding in food and studio photography with a great mix och discussions, hands-on experience and networking. Check for upcoming workshops on the website!
The One-on-One workshop is typically around 3 hours with Charlie Bennet. You will have Charlie’s full attention and we will cover the basics around food and studio photography and a hands on exercise. You will leave with a better understanding to food photography and tools to practise on your own.
What people think:
Charlie has an amazing reputation in NYC for being a stellar photographer so I thought I would enroll in a class with him. I am a novice photographer with a food blog. I was in desperate need of help to make my yummy recipes to look awesome in photos. I was expecting to get some tips and tricks to help my blog but what I got was phenomenal. He adapted what I needed to learn based on my skill set and what easy ways I could improve. Not only did I feel so much more confident and way less stressed about taking photos but because my photos improved so much so did my blog viewership tremendously. He is fun, very patient, and really amazing teacher.Totally let him help you with your photography.

I recently had the honor of studying the fine art of food photography with the renowned photographer, Charlie Bennet. I had seen some of Charlie’s unique work online and I noticed how his images stood apart from the rest of the pack. Charlie’s studio is a gorgeous facility in mid-town Manhattan and is the perfect mix of professional kitchen and photography studio. Everything you will ever need to produce award winning images is right there on site. Charlie himself is quite the gentleman and he takes you through his personal journey on how he developed and refined his craft. Charlie has actually published two books on this topic.
I have taken many workshops over the years shooting different subject matter but I must say nothing was as informative or as interesting as learning to shoot food with Charlie Bennet. I encourage you to attend anything Charlie teaches because he really is a master teacher.
